HIV, PrEP, STI treatment & Prevention

Pre-exposure prophylaxis, or PrEP, is designed for individuals who do not have HIV but are at greater risk of contracting it. PrEP in oral pill forms or IM bimonthly injection. Discussing which option is best for you will be determined together. 

Post-exposure prophylaxis HIV treatment or more commonly known as PEP, is an emergency HIV prevention treatment which must be started within 72 hours of exposure. A complete course of post-exposure prophylaxis HIV treatment involves taking PEP for 28 days. PEP is considered effective, but not 100% and further testing & prevention strategies are important as follow up. 

Rapid start medication & HIV management. While there is no cure for HIV at this time, there are many medications proven to be effective in managing HIV and other health complications that can occur. HIV management is about ensuring your immune system is at its strongest and prevention of comorbidities. I understand the importance of continuity of care and hope that I can help you manage both your HIV & primary care needs. 

Sexually transmitted infections and treatment are everyday services I provide. Routine STI testing is recommended for anyone engaging in condomless sex. If I cannot see or treat you same day I can offer assistance for alternatives.
